Kitani (Kita Tanami Indonesia) is an agritech startup with a mission to develop a platform containing complete solutions (knowledge, marketplace, advanced technology, and infrastructure) centered on small farmers to produce quality horticultural products.
Challenge
Farmers continue to rely on WhatsApp as a primary tool for reporting their daily planting progress to advisors. This method facilitates direct communication and enables timely updates on agricultural activities. Consequently, advisors undertake the task of manually reviewing reports submitted by all farmers who are part of their collaborative network. This hands-on approach ensures that advisors stay informed about the ongoing developments in various farming operations, allowing them to provide timely guidance and support where needed.
Our Solution
We are dedicated to streamlining and enhancing the current system by introducing a mobile application platform. This innovative solution aims to simplify the reporting process for farmers and advisors alike, ensuring smoother tracking of each task involved in planting and agricultural activities.
Through our mobile application, farmers can conveniently submit their planting results in real-time, eliminating the need for manual reporting via WhatsApp.
Designer’s Words
As a UI/UX Designer in the Kitani project, I am very enthusiastic to work on this project. Kitani is an innovative digital product in the Agritech sector, a sector that I have never worked in before. The opportunity to contribute to advancing agricultural technology through user-friendly and effective design is very inspiring to me. With the collaboration of an extraordinary team, I am sure Kitani will bring a significant positive impact to its users.
